Tioga County has three elected Auditors.  Each serve a four-year term.  County Auditors are members of the Pennsylvania State Association of County Auditors (PSACA), an organization formed to provide guidance and education supporting the duties of the county auditor.

The Auditors examine, settle, and adjust the accounts of each county department.  The Auditors compile a Public Report for the prior year which is available to the public.  Current and past reports are on file for public inspection on the County website and in the Auditors Report Book at the Courthouse.  Printed copies of the current year reports are available in the Courthouse Lobby, 118 Main Street, Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

The Auditors also complete an annual report of the financial condition of the county to Pennsylvania’s Department of Commerce and Economic Development (DCED).  The reports are available at dced.pa.gov

The County hires an outside Certified Public Account (CPA) to report on the audit of the financial statements and provide a single audit report, which the Auditors make available on the website.
