Plan the Land Public Learning Seminar

As interest grows in data centers and other potential development projects in Tioga County, residents have raised important questions about how land development decisions are made and what safeguards are in place to protect local communities.

To help answer these questions, the Tioga County Commissioners and Planning Commission are hosting a public learning seminar. This educational event will provide an overview of the county's land development process and explain the planning tools used to guide growth and protect community interests.

Topics will include the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (SALDO) and zoning ordinances that establish standards and safeguards for development projects. Attendees will learn how these regulations are applied, how development proposals are reviewed, and how local governments work to balance economic opportunities with responsible land use planning.

This seminar is intended to inform and educate residents, encourage community engagement, and provide a better understanding of the land development processes in Tioga County.
