Registration is limited to two (2) members per first-due Tioga County department and eligible Tioga County public-safety or municipal roles until February 22, then opens to the waitlist and others.

Course Cost: $10.00 Payment is due by the registration deadline to secure your seat.

Payments can be mailed to 99 William Farrell Drive or dropped off in person.

Course Description: Friday Evening (4 HOURS): BatteryIQ: Awareness & Operational Response to Li-Ion Battery Emergencies. A classroom-based lecture designed for anyone who may encounter Li-ion battery hazards, including first responders and public safety officials. It’s also valuable for those in outreach roles (e.g., Commissioners, LEMCs, local reps) to help promote Li-ion battery safety. Topics include Li-ion safety essentials and a streamlined system for identifying, responding to, and mitigating incidents. Participants will also receive a comprehensive battery response guide (similar to the HazMat ERG).           

Registration Information: If you are a member of a Fire or EMS Department, please have your Chief email a roster of interested members for approval to bmathers@tiogacountypa.us and emergencyservices@tiogacountypa.us. LEMCs or those serving in an outreach role may email the same addresses directly.
