Course Description: Saturday (8 HOURS): BatteryIQ Technician-Level Response to Li-Ion Battery Emergencies. This course equips students with a practical system for responding to a wide range of Li-ion battery emergencies, from phones and e-bikes/scooters to EV fires and energy storage system failures. Hands-on work includes thermal imaging, use of pH/F paper to assess battery conditions, and safe dismantling/disposal of failed batteries.
