Tioga County Assessment Office Important Dates & Deadlines

December 31st -- Final day to record deed for County/Municipal tax bills

December 31st -- Final day to pay Tax Collector

January 1st -- Unpaid taxes returned to  Tax Claim

March 1st -- Final day to apply for Homestead/Farmstead Exclusion

March 1st -- County/Municipal tax bills mailed

May 31st -- Final day to record deed for School tax bills

June 1st -- Final day to apply for the Clean & Green program effective January 1st of the following year

July 1st -- Annually on or before the first day of July assessment roll  submitted to the board and open to the public

July 1st -- School tax bills mailed

July 1st – September 1st -- Annual appeal period

October 31st -- Final hearing day for annual assessment appeals

November 15th -- Assessed Values certified by the Assessment Office

Anytime  -- Administrative Appeal, Change of Assessment Notice Only.  Property owners and affected taxing districts have 40 days from the date of the Change of Assessment Notice to file an appeal to the board.
