Courthouse Visitors

The Deputies at the entrance are responsible for the safety of the courthouse. There is a single point of entry that is monitored by the Deputies. The Deputies have the authority to screen anyone that enters the courthouse and if someone refuses to be screened they will be denied entry. It is prohibited to bring inside the courthouse firearms, knives, explosives, prohibited material, anything perceived as a weapon, cameras, recording devices, cell phones, laptops, tablets, or any other electronic device that can be used in a similar manner.

The normal operating hours of the courthouse are Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, except holidays. However, most offices do not open until after 8:00 am, it is best to check with that specific office to find out their hours. In addition, the deputies are responsible for the security of the building during events that happen outside of normal business hours. At request and when manpower allows it, the deputies will also provide security to other county owned properties.
