to the Pennsylvania Department of State issuing a statewide recount for the
Commonwealth Court Judge race the Tioga County Board of Elections will be
conducting a Recount starting on Wednesday, November 17th, 2021 at
approximately 8:30am. If this process is not complete by the end of the day, we
will continue on Thursday and Friday.
The Elections/Voter Registration Office is committed to administering elections and all related activities for the County of Tioga and its political sub-divisions in compliance with the Federal and State statutes. Election and Voter Registration personnel provide guidance and information pertaining to election and voter registration procedures.
The Elections/Voter Registration office provides mandated services and is responsible for registering voters and conducting Federal, State, County and local elections. In addition, we compile and maintain the registration of all voters for use at all elections; prepare and publish notices of elections and lists of offices for which candidates are to be nominated; accept and verify nomination petitions; prepare official and specimen ballots and administer the campaign expenditure act.
The Elections/Voter Registration office is also responsible for establishing voting precincts and locations of polling places for each voting precinct; training of election officers to staff the polls on election day and preparing all election supplies to be used at the polls on election day.

Election Ballot Drop Box location is at the Tioga County Court House:
Located in the front Lobby in Security. Hours- Mon.- Fri. 8:00am-4:30pm Election Day Hours- 8:00am-8:00pm
You must send your ballot back inside both envelopes (secrecy envelope & outer envelope) complete all the information and sign the outer envelope or your vote will not count.
You can only return your own ballot unless you are a voter with a disability who has designated an agent in writing.
Notice to Absentee and Mail-in Voters: A voter who receives an absentee ballot or mail-in ballot and appears at a polling place to vote in person on Election Day may only vote by provisional ballot. Unless the voter surrenders the official ballot and the official ballot return envelope to the Judge of Elections at the polling place to be spoiled.
