Chapter 102 - Erosion and Sediment Control 

Under Pennsylvania Code, Chapter 102 an Erosion and Sediment Control Permit (ESCP) is required for timber harvesting activities disturbing 25 acres or more over the life of the entire project.  This includes the construction of skid trails, haul roads, landing areas, and other similar logging or silvicultural practices.

Chapter 105 - Wetlands and Stream Encroachments Regulations and Legislation

Under the delegation of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, The Tioga County Conservation District is responsible for permitting, inspecting and monitoring specified categories of water obstructions and encroachments. Most commonly a timber harvesting operation could include:
